Horseback Riding Through the Jungle | Manuel Antonio & Jacó
Ride lush rainforest mountain trails to a hidden jungle waterfall, relaxed, well-trained horses, expert bilingual guides and a fresh local meal. A Costa Rica horseback tour the whole family can enjoy.
The Experience
Horseback riding to a hidden jungle waterfall
Explore the lush, verdant rainforest on horseback and be rewarded with a roaring, refreshing waterfall deep in the mountains above Costa Rica's Central Pacific coast. This guided horseback riding tour begins in the small farming town of Londres, near Quepos, where our family stables and facilities are set up to get you comfortable in the saddle before the ride.
After riding instructions, safety tips and a little practice time, you'll set off through the mountain surrounded by diverse tropical fauna and local wildlife, think toucans, sloths, monkeys and countless butterflies. Take in sweeping views of the valley below as your relaxed, well-trained horse carries you along shaded jungle trails.
After roughly 90 minutes you'll arrive at a stunning waterfall. A 30-minute stop lets you lie on the water's edge or take a dip in the cool pool before hopping back on your horse. Another 90 minutes of riding brings you back to the ranch, where a delicious meal made by locals with organically grown ingredients is waiting. Rated Moderate difficulty, it suits beginners and experienced riders alike. Prefer the water? Pair it with our ocean kayaking & snorkeling tour or a Savegre River rafting adventure.
