The experience

This canopy tour sits in the same biological corridor as Manuel Antonio National Park, only about five minutes from downtown Quepos. The course runs through primary and secondary rainforest, with 12 cables, 22 platforms, a rappel, a Tarzan swing, and a treetop suspension bridge.

It is the easy-to-reach canopy option near Manuel Antonio, with a strong safety record and certified bilingual guides. The first platform is always the biggest moment; after that, most people are grinning.

At the canopy site, your guide runs a full safety briefing with a demonstration, then gears you up. Between zips you walk the trails and suspension bridges from platform to platform while the guide points out the wildlife and plants of this rainforest corridor.

The course mixes fast lines with the gentler suspension bridge, so there is a range of intensity built in. A Costa Rican meal is served after the tour. To round out the day, our Manuel Antonio National Park walk is right next door.

From the Jacó area we run the Los Sueños canopy, a separate course with longer cables and big bay views, rather than the Quepos course.
